This light blue lab sapphire is faceted in a fantasy cut oval shape. It features four deeper v-grooves left frosted, and a surrounding array of dazzling thinner grooves. When not in direct lighting the frosted grooves show a more prominent pattern, while when in direct lighting the pattern is less visible and the entire gem sparkles. When set, the gem will show very thin lines of the color of the setting along the tips of the grooves, which allows for the possibility for a stunning, multi-colored gem when set in a piece of jewelry.
